Energy Group East – Netherlands debuts at Power-Gen 2017

Growing Power Engineering Leadership

The Energy Group East – Netherlands (booth no. 10927) is debuting at this year’s Power-Gen International 2017 with a selection of companies offering industry leading, power engineering systems, reflecting the growing strength of the Netherland’s capability and international competitiveness in the global power generation market. In addition to OPRA Turbines, Holland Controls, HoSt and Bright Biomethane bioenergy systems, the Energy Group East – Netherlands at Power-Gen includes heavy lift specialists Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology.

OPRA Turbines – Compact, Multi-Fuel

OPRA Turbines develops, manufactures and markets the OP16 Gas Turbine in the 2 MW power range. Utilising proven radial gas turbine technology, the OP16 Gas Turbine is a compact, efficient and reliable industrial gas turbine designed for supplying power generation applications to the Oil and Gas and Industrial markets. The generator sets can be provided with low emission and dual fuel capabilities.

Holland Controls – Gas Turbine Control

Holland-Controls offers its customers’ optimum control system solutions for existing turbines, reciprocating engines and related equipment, using off-the-shelf components from renowned manufacturers. In addition, Holland-Controls is able to expand the performance and lifetime of turbine control system, optimising engine performance while reducing the cost of ownership.

HoSt Bioenergy – Complete Systems

HoSt is one of the largest suppliers of complete bioenergy systems in Europe. With over 25 years of experience in the design, construction, and installation of biogas plants, biomass-fired CHP’s and a large service team throughout Europe, HoSt has developed a wide range of components for the optimization of bioenergy systems.

Bright Biomethane – High Availability

Bright Biomethane has developed patented technology to upgrade biogas to biomethane. The upgrading system uses pressure controlled membrane technology (PCMT) to deliver biomethane direct to the grid at the correct specification, within 15 minutes from cold start up, resulting in a high availability power source. The biomethane is suitable for either injection into the national grid or production of CNG.

Enerpac – Plant and Turbine Maintenance

Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology offers a range of power generation heavy lift maintenance and installation tools for fossil fuel, renewable and nuclear plants. These range from hydraulic lifting systems including gantries, jack-ups, and strand jacks for turbine installation, to specialist rotor removal and handling systems during turbine maintenance. Enerpac heavy lift systems have been deployed at power plants in United States, Taiwan, Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa, and multiple European countries.

Other participants in the Dutch booth are Energas, New Cosmos – BIE, Petrogas, Skyline Turbine Services and Tempress Systems.

Energy Cluster East – Netherlands

Energy Cluster East – Netherlands is an industry cluster consisting of more than 20 energy companies. It is part of the World Trade Center (WTC) group of business centres promoting Dutch businesses internationally and to promote sustainable growth towards a resource-efficient and competitive economy. The Energy Cluster East – Netherlands is based at WTC in Hengelo in the Twente region of The Netherlands.

“We are looking forward to our first visit to Power-Gen 2017,” says Freerk Faber, managing director, WTC Twente in Hengelo. “The Twente region’s Energy Cluster offers a diverse and highly competitive range of power generation solutions designed to optimise fossil fuel, biofuel and nuclear plant performance. The power of the WTC Twente Energy Group lies in the assembling of both fossil and renewable energy companies into a single group with a common goal of a gradual sutainable economy.”

Participation at the Power-Gen International 2017 is organized from the GO4Export, the economic export stimulus program supported by the province of Overijssel.
